A person with food intolerance holds a lot of water in his or her body. Because of this, he or she loses weight very quickly because water is released when offending food is eliminated from his or her body. In other cases, a person can lose weight slowly. Losing weight a pound or two every week, albeit slower, is considered healthier.
Our program focuses on changing unwanted habits, improving thinking and outlook, and eliminating the causes of extra weight. This brings a gradual but steady change in weight. Our program is not a miracle cure. It will require some investment on your part. Before new habits are established, you have to help them and work on them at first. This includes putting in the effort to attend sessions, do the recommended exercises, and resist temptation.

Hypnosis is a natural trance state in which a person has heightened suggestibility and imagination. These characteristics make hypnosis a great tool for changing subconscious habits, beliefs, and perceptions. It’s not sleep. In hypnosis, a person is alert and participates in the process.

The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is basically acupuncture in a psychological sense. No needles are used – the acupressure points are simply tapped with the fingers. EFT releases negative emotions by balancing energy disruptions in the body.
The technical part of EFT – tapping – is very easy to learn and perform. However, randomly tapping on various acupressure points will not have any effect. EFT’s most important aspect is psychological. For EFT to work, you have to understand the psychology behind it and learn how to work out the root causes of the problem. In weight loss, EFT is effective because it eliminates the negative beliefs and emotions that cause inner sabotage, food addiction, and binging.

Unlike traditional psychotherapy or hypnosis, EFT can be effectively done over the telephone. This is a great option for those of you who don’t live in Toronto or have busy schedules. It is also easier for some people to talk about difficult issues over the phone rather than face to face.
When you register for a session, I will send you an email with a questionnaire you can fill out and detailed instructions on what we will do. I will then call you at an appointed time to guide you through the EFT procedure. After each session, I will send you an email with recommendations to follow in between sessions. The length of the sessions vary depending on your needs.
